name Lollipop originated from the alphabet letter where L following the
previous Kitkat version. So the Name Lollipop originated from an previous OS alphabet K Kitkat version of android .
Android Lollipop comes with tweak interface and design ,Many new features and above 5000 latest API created by developers. Improvements in new notification area ,Improved control over battery through cross-platform and Project Volta For compatibility with Google Chrome OS devices.
